Our guarantee

Our puppies are raised in our home with other dogs and children. We offer a 26 month health guarantee and several money back incentives. While we have an official version you will sign when you bring your puppy home, you can read the summary below.

We have made every effort to provide you with a healthy puppy. We guarantee your puppy is purebred from parents whom had acceptable results on the health testing that was performed on them. We guarantee that all age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings and parasite screenings have been done as stated on the individual puppy's health record.

Although we vaccinate and deworm our puppies ourselves, we do provide proof of vaccinations with individual vial labels. Around 6 weeks old we have a fecal exam done on each puppy in the vet office.

Our veterinarian removes dewclaws at 3-5 days old. Unless necessary, our vet doesn't see the puppies again until around 7 weeks old when the puppies each receive a wellness exam. We do offer the option to keep the dewclaws on your puppy, but pup must be selected and paid in full by 3 days old.

Our guarantee does not cover common ailments and faults such as cherry eye, ectropion, allergies, undescended testicles, umbilical hernia, dermatitis, or demodetic mange. Further, we do not guarantee against fleas, mites, coccidia, giardia or any other intestinal worms/parasites. These things can be contracted upon leaving our property and becomes the responsibility of the buyer. We do NOT replace a puppy due to any form of injury, heat stroke, abuse/neglect, or improper socialization once transfer of ownership is made.

We encourage buyers to thoroughly research the French Bulldog breed and understand the basic needs and common health issues associated with the breed. Frenchies are prone to breathing issues, spine issues, allergies, cancer, inverted vulvas, and luxating patellas amongst other things.

We do DNA, OFA and PennHip health testing to potentially avoid these issues in our puppies.

Cancer

Unfortunately cancer is not something we can screen our breeding dogs for. This is something that pops up later in life, many times past their breedable years. We try to avoid cancer by researching the pedigrees of our dogs, having a good relationship with their breeders and knowing the longevity and health issues of the ancestors in our dogs' pedigrees.

Mast cell cancer is very common, and can be a simple type of cancer or it can be deadly.

Issues Inherit to the Breed

Frenchies are very compact dogs, not initially bred for the healthiest structure. Because of their inherit conformation, spine abnormalities are more common than not. Spine injuries are always a possibility because of the compaction of their vertebrae. It's important to take care of their spines using harnesses (rather than collars) and limiting rough play and jumping.

Luxating patellas are very common in most small breeds also due to their size. While we screen our dogs for luxation, the inheritance isn't 100% understood.

The smooshy frenchie face also lends itself to breathing issues such as stenotic nares and elongated palates. It's becoming industry standard to repair these upon routine spay and neuter surgeries. Our guarantee will not cover any breathing issues.

What we guarantee

Your puppy is guaranteed for 26 months from the date of birth against life threatening congenital defects. If within that time a life threatening congenital defect is found by a licensed veterinarian, we will replace the puppy or refund the original purchase price of the puppy, whichever we feel is the best solution. After the puppy is 26 months old, we no longer guarantee against any health conditions, but we are reasonable people and are always willing to help ease any unfortuante situations shall they arise.

Trubbled French Bulldogs Incentive Program

The incentives are not part of a legally binding agreement. This program is a benefit we provide to the buyers and money is paid at our discretion. So far it is a hit!

Registering your puppy

Your puppy will come to you with it's official AKC registration papers in order. We will work with you to choose an official registered name for your puppy, we do the paperwork, we pay the fees, and AKC mails you the official certificate plus a digital copy.
